Although series creator Masahiro Sakurai told The Gamer in November of 2021 there are no real plans for a new Super Smash Bros. entry, the fighting series continues to be extremely popular among gamers everywhere. The last iteration, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, was released in 2018, leaving plenty of time in the past four years for a hysterical crop of memes about the game to pop up on the internet.

From various gameplay complaints to player requests, character traits, and other hilarious observations about the game, Super Smash Bros. has some of the funniest memes of any video game series to date.

Waluigi Never Had A Chance

One of the biggest complaints fans of Super Smash Bros. continually log is the glaring absence of Waluigi, the Mario Bros. character who has never been added to the extensive roster of fighters. Even though Wario features prominently, Waluigi simply remains in the game as an assist trophy, making gamers everywhere petition for his official inclusion as a fighter.

In Super Smash Bros., Assist Trophies are items that when obtained and opened will summon brand new characters to the game.
